NAC Program Area:Auction Information and Guidelines - Introduction

Introduction

Auctions can be an integral part of your collecting experience - both buying and selling via auction. And, like most everything else, you are confronted by options.

If you are selling - whether its your entire collection, or just a few items because they are duplicates or you "upgraded" - selecting the right auction and the right auctioneer is an important decision.

If you are buying, the decisions may not be as monumental, but nonetheless there are still decisions to be made.

This program area will discuss auctions and auctioneers from both the buying and the selling aspect.

A Program Advisory Group has helped develop this program area and continues to monitor, add to, and refine the information on an ongoing basis. This group is here to assist and give advice whenever necessary. Discussion Forums are available for collectors to gain more specific information from a variety of forum participants. A listing of Resources for this Program Area is provided, as well as a Reference Archive.

The goal of the National Association of Collectors (NAC) is to identify and address those needs and concerns that are common to all collectors by providing a broad range of information and resources.
